Team SHIFT developed a concept that would give residents at their J-centrel property discounts on rent for volunteering with or working at neighborhood partner organizations. The concept is a neighborhood investment program designed to reward residents for participating in their community, designed to help residents live more affordably and spend more time with neighbors.

The concept had to be built from (as they say in real estate) the ground level.
We looked at this program as an extension of the J-centrel brand, whose aura emanated the idea of creating a Home. For Good.
Naming kicked us off. The name had to be community-focused. It had to personify J-centrel’s purpose. It had to be Good. Thus, the Good Neighbor Program was born.
From there we crafted a brand and messaging to connect residents and community partners. We dug into the nuts and bolts of the program’s process workflow to create standards and structures that drive the Good Neighbor Program. We conducted outreach to partner organizations and prospective residents.
